1. Data We Collect

Short answer: Almost nothing.

• Both apps run entirely on your devices. Your recordings, projects, and edits never leave your Mac or iPhone unless you explicitly export or share them.
• We do not collect analytics, telemetry, usage data, or crash reports.
• We do not require an account to use the apps.

2. Local Network Communication

SplonkCam streams video from your iPhone to Splonk on your Mac over your local Wi-Fi network. This data is transmitted directly between your devices — it does not pass through any external server.

3. Camera & Microphone Access

SplonkCam requests access to your iPhone’s camera and microphone to stream video and audio to your Mac. Splonk may access connected cameras and microphones on macOS for recording purposes. This data is processed locally and is never sent to us or any third party.

4. Payments

Purchases made through our website are processed by Stripe. We receive your email address and payment confirmation. We do not store credit card numbers or billing details.

In-app purchases through the App Store are handled entirely by Apple under their privacy policy. We do not receive your payment information from Apple.

5. Third-Party Services

The apps do not integrate any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or tracking. If future AI features (e.g. auto-captions) require cloud processing, we will clearly disclose this before any data leaves your device.

6. Data Storage & Security

All recordings, projects, and settings are stored locally on your devices. Splonk stores data in its application support directory on macOS. SplonkCam stores data in its sandboxed container on iOS. We have no access to this data.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the apps after changes constitutes acceptance.
